Pineneedles – Sunflower Pin Cushion
Turn an ordinary candlestick into a wonderful wooly pin cushion.  I just picked up this candlestick at a local craft store and set to work at making it a pin cushion.  The really great thing is that if the candlestick has some weight it really makes a nicely balanced pin cushion.  Change out the colors and make it a different flower………….one for you and one for a friend!!

Snowflowers

This project is a fun combination of fabrics.  The Block Background is flannel and appliquéd “Snowflowers” are 100% Wool.  They are set together with flannel.  But don’t limit yourself, this quilt can be made in a variety of fabrics.  This project is a great way to use up scraps out of your stash!  It can be Blanket stitched by hand or on your machine and you can change the size by adjusting the number of blocks used.

Sweet Violets Wall Hanging
42 ½” X 42 ½”
This is a great project to use as a travel project.  Get all the blocks ready, cut and fused on with the appliqués, needles and floss and a great sewing tote and it is ready to take along.  I feature it in wool appliqué, but it could very easily be adapted to any other fabric medium.  It would be adorable in reproduction 1930’s prints or hit your stash and make it scrappy.  The  little bouquets could all be different as well as all the setting squares could be scrappy. How about a Friendship swap – scrappy style? And finish with a Round Robin??? Simple, easy And fun, too!

Wooly Hearts
My girly-friend Geniel has been encouraging me to design a project that uses a variety of tweedy wools and loads of color. This throw-size project is simple and can be made with 50 different wool hearts on five tweedy backgrounds or in any variety of fabrics that make your heart sing. To add to the beauty of this wooly throw it is embellished with embroidery. The embroidery can be done by hand or by machine.
