PURSES AND SEWING TOTES

I love bags, totes and sewing bags/totes.  Here is another way to incorporate the love of quilting with smaller projects.  Patterns are available for all, some kits are available and if it requires a handle or purse frame, we offer those, too!  I think you will love the theme bags that I have created – they come in two sizes.  Too much fun!!

Patchwork Bag 24” X 17” This pattern uses premade patchwork fabric, but could use any designer fabric or panel to create adorable carryall.  The bag is made complete with 100% Wool applique flowers and leather purse handles.

An adorable project!  This pattern features wool, applique, lots of embroidery and cute handles that give it a mini briefcase look.

Wooly Bags…..
These delightful whimsical wool bag patterns feature wool applique, embroidery and leather handles.  The bags are 100% wool background and appliqués with flannel lining.  There are two size selections small (12” X 12”) or large (12” X 13”) directions for both included in same pattern.  Four creative designs to choose from; pick your favorite or make all four.

Miss Bees Pocket
3 ½” X 4 ½”
My granddaughter Savannah who I call “Miss Bee” loves pockets and tiny little purses and especially the fun things you can put inside.  She especially loves candy and of course quarters and paper $$ too!  This little pocket will easily hold your credit cards, driver’s license, some paper $$ and even a quarter or two.  Or….just plain ole’ candy!!

Flower Bouquet Purse
This was originally adapted to use the Flower Bouquet Block from the Wooly Flower Basket Quilt.  It is a very large bag that is patched with 100% Wool and then the beautiful Wool applique one side.  It is huge and sports leather handles.  A great bag and a treasure for sure!

KTQ/SPPCO Sewing Bag
Lynne Hagmeier (Kansas Troubles Quilters)  and I designed this project together for a Retreat that we hosted in Oct. 2007.  It is a fabulous bag, incorporates patchwork, raw edge applique, wool applique and some really great Embroidery.  It has an attachment inside that works as a pressing pad and loads of fun pockets.  It is finished off with leather handles.  Make this and you will be the envy of all your friends!!
